Renal Ultrasonography – To Detect Renal Calculi

Renal Ultrasonography is an important imaging technology that helps in the detection of renal calculi. The ultrasonography has superior sensitivity as compared to abdominal films that helps in the detection of renal calculi by their marked echogenicity and associated acoustic shadowing.

This imaging technique offers anatomical details without exposure to radiation or contrast material.
